MID-18TH CENTURY
With tapering blade of flattened hexagonal section with a panel of etched and gilt scrollwork on each side at the forte, the hilt decorated throughout with rococo ornament; together with A DRESS SWORD, 19th century, with single-edged tapering fullered blade double-edged towards the point, the forte with indistinct Solingen maker's signature, silver-plated stirrup-hilt, chequered grip, in original leather scabbard
