The waisted case with circular glazed lenticle headed by an arched hood housing a squared brass dial and circular polychrome enamel dial with pierced and engraved gilt hands, barber-pole inlaid borders to the hood and trunk doors and compass-star inlay with similar borders to the box base, the twin barrel movement with upside down verge and crownwheel escapement and vertical rack striking to bell; with folding pendulum, two weights
