A BRACE OF INDIAN 16-BORE MATCHLOCK TORADARS, ALMOST FORMING A PAIR
LATE 19TH CENTURY
Each with three-stage swamped sighted barrel with fluted pronounced moulding at the muzzle and with intricate punched decoration to the slender centre section, pivoting priming-pan cover, applied panels inset with bone flower-heads behind the barrel, three-quarter stock with applied copper-alloy panels beneath the breech, the slender butts with rounded hardwood cap inset with bone plaques, and iron sling mounts and ramrod (some corrosion to iron parts, barrel-bands missing)
