A FRENCH 15-BORE SILVER-MOUNTED FLINTLOCK HOLSTER PISTOL FOR THE NORTH AFRICAN MARKET

With tapering octagonal to round barrel with half-length sighting flat and inlaid at the breech with silver foliate designs, flat border and scroll engraved lock signed 'MANCEAUX A PARIS' in silver beneath the silver-encased priming-pan, walnut three-quarter stock, silver mounts cast and chased in relief with scrollwork against a stippled ground; together with AN OTTOMAN FLINTLOCK BLUNDERBUSS PISTOL, LATE 19TH CENTURY, with two-stage iron barrel, flat lock, and walnut full stock inlaid with brass and copper tendrils (stock badly damaged, mechanism at fault)
