DATED A.H. 1304 A.D. 1886/7
With curved single-edged watered steel blade with faint 'Prophet's ladder' and with a gold-damascened dated inscription within a panel translating to 'NIQULAKI SARNANAKI PASHA 2 APRIL 1886/7' on one side and a further panel of gold-damascened foliage on each side at the forte, silver-gilt hilt comprising quillon-block engraved with floral bouquet on each side and with short scrolled quillons, characteristic grip engraved on each side with a panel containing further floral bouquets and on the pommel with a spray of scrollwork, the pommel capped with an applied spray of scrollwork, in original black-leather-covered scabbard with silver-gilt mounts decorated en suite with the hilt, three rings for suspension, and bullion thread sword-knot, almost certainly original
