THE FIRST SIGNED CHIKUZEN JU MINAMOTO NOBUKUNI YOSHI (?, POSSIBLY SPURIOUS), THE SECOND UNSIGNED, CIRCA 1940-45
The first with gunome chojiba hamon and midare-komi boshi, iron tsuba formed as a chrysanthemum with spurious signature, rayskin-covered cord-bound grip, and later black-lacquered scabbard; the second with gunome-ba hamon (other details obscured by rubbing), military mounts and scabbard, the latter painted black
