SIGNED HIZEN KUNI JU TADAUJI, MID- TO LATE EDO PERIOD
With ko-notare hamon (obscured), in handachi style mounting with iron tsuba carved with a stylised dragon among clouds and signed 'MASAHISA', menuki of shakudo-gilt panlowmanon (corroded with sulphate), kozuta copper shiiremono with shishi and peonis in high relief, and black lacquered ishmeji scabbard with iron fittings
