A FINE AND RARE BRACE OF GERMAN 25-BORE FLINTLOCK TURN-OVER RIFLED CARBINES FOR WILD BOAR HUNTING

Almost forming a pair, each with blued multi-stage octagonal to polygonal sighted barrels each rifled with seven grooves and heightened at the breech and muzzle with gold-inlaid decoration, each breech struck with a gold-lined maker's mark (Der Neue Stockel 7793) and with gold-lined touch-hole, the barrels released by pressing the bow of the trigger-guard, engraved tang, signed border engraved rounded back-action lock, set triggers, figured walnut full stock carved in low relief with a spray of foliage behind the barrel-tang, raised cheek-piece, one carbine with take-down butt, sliding wooden patch-box cover (one missing), brass mounts, and original brass-mounted ramrod, the barrels each retaining some original blued finish
