SIGNED P. MARONONI, 3RD QUARTER 18TH CENTURY
With two-stage barrels each struck with a series of fleur-de-lys surrounding a maker's mark on the octagonal breech-section, engraved iron tangs, signed flat bevelled locks each with stepped-tail, figured moulded Circassian walnut full stocks, iron mounts including spurred pommels chiselled with scrollwork, and later horn-tipped ramrods (one steel replaced, some wear throughout, one signature worn, minor repairs to trigger-guards)
