EARLY 18TH CENTURY
With slender slightly swamped tapering barrels each chiselled towards the breech with scrollwork, foliage and a grotesque mask, iron tangs each chiselled with further foliage, rounded locks each chiselled in low relief with foliage inhabited by monster-heads, later walnut full stocks, iron mounts chiselled en suite including spurred pommels each with a bestial-mask cap, and later wooden ramrods each with the original shaped foliate iron tip (some pitting and wear to iron parts throughout)
