A FINE PAIR OF OTTOMAN SILVER-MOUNTED FLINTLOCK BLUNDERBUSS PISTOLS
THE LOCKS SIGNED WILSON, EARLY 19TH CENTURY
With heavily swamped etched twist barrels decorated with panels of gold-damascened foliage and flower-heads, gold-damascened tangs, signed rounded locks each with slightly raised priming-pan with water-drain, figured walnut full stocks each profusely inlaid with scrollwork, flower-heads and bands of running foliage, cast and chased silver mounts decorated in high relief with foliage, flowers and martial trophies, and false ramrods inlaid with silver wire en suite with the stocks (minor wear to damascened decoration on barrels, iron parts discoloured, minor loss to silver wire inlay on one pistol)
