With rebrowned round barrel rifled with seven grooves and with bayonet-bar to the right side of the muzzle, rear-sight of one standing and two folding leaves, plain tang, rounded border engraved lock with pierced cock and marked with a 'GR' cypher beneath the priming-pan and 'W. KETLAND' on the tail, walnut full stock with raised cheek-piece and no patchbox (repaired crack at fore-end tip, old crack in front of lock and next to forward side-nail), brass mounts including butt-plate numbered '49', front iron sling mount (rear mount missing), and correct swelling iron ramrod, Tower private proof marks
