With rebrowned twist barrels rifled with two deep grooves and signed in full on the rib, bead fore-sight, blued rear-sight of one standing and two folding leaves graduated to 200 yards and each with platinum-inlaid centre-line, case-hardened patent breeches each with pierced platinum plug and engraved with a shell on the rib between, border and scroll engraved case-hardened tang and signed bolted locks, the former also decorated with a tiger-mask, figured walnut half-stock with chequered grip and fore-end, border and scroll engraved iron mounts including hinged patchbox cover also engraved with a crest and motto, silver escutcheon engraved with the presentation inscription 'D. MUNRO from FJE 10th Dec.r 1867', sling mounts, brass-mounted hardwood ramrod with worm, probably original, and much faded original finish to the locks and mounts (some marking to stock, breeches and barrels refinished), London proof marks
