With slightly swamped octagonal sighted barrels each engraved with a band of beadwork at the breech, tangs each engraved with a further band of beadwork and foliage, engraved flat bevelled bolted locks each signed within a small engraved cartouche and with stepped tail, raised pan and roller (one cock replaced), figured walnut full stocks each with flat-sided butt (bruised, both fore-ends and one butt cracked), engraved iron mounts (pitted) including solid side-plates, and trigger-guards each with acorn finial, set triggers (each at fault), and later horn-tipped ramrods, London proof marks and maker's mark of John Tow
