With his large works painted with industrial acrylic on plexiglas pieces, Ramazan Bayrakoglu intends to integrate the concepts of painting and photography within one another. Using a technique which requires an individual craftsmanship and mastery of materials, the aim is to transform a painting into a photograph and hence to achieve a painted photograph at the end. As the most attractive outcomes of his art, Bayrakoglu's black and white female portraits state the indissoluble bond between human figure and photography, the erotic association of the beautiful female image and its connection with the viewer.
