Mark of Cornelis Papinck I, Groningen, 1620/21
Of tapering cylindrical shape, on spreading foot, the cast foot-rim chased with a rosette motif below egg-and-dart and applied cable mouldings, the flared rim engraved with a band of foliage, the upper part of the body engraved with three medallions showing female figures emblematic of Hope, Faith and Love, within floral scrolls, shell ornaments and mascarons, with loops of fruit suspended from ribbons, marked on base
