A Chinese famille verte bowl
Kangxi (1662-1722)
Modelled with slightly everted rim, the exterior decorated to the lower section with stylised branches, the upper section with antiquities and flowers below a ruyi-band, the interior with a central chrysanthemum-head, the rim with cartouches of butterflies on a floral ground
20 cm. diam.
Together with a Chinese famille verte footed bowl, Kangxi (1662-1722), on high splayed foot painted with stylised flower-heads, the lobed bowl decorated to the exterior with panels of various flower-baskets, 12 cm. high x 19 cm. diam. (2)
