A Chinese Transitional wucai vase
Circa 1640
The ovoid cylindrical body painted with a dignitary surrounded by three boys in a continuous mountainous moonlit landscape, the short everted neck with a band of stiff leaves
25.5 cm. high
Together with a Chinese yellow-glazed moulded rectangular cup, early 19th Century, moulded in relief with two dragons amidst waves surrounding the central cup holder, with chrysanthemum blossom in the recessed center, raised on a shallow foot, covered all over with a dark yellow glaze - 13.1 x 10.1 cm.
