A LARGE MAGHRIBI QUR'AN FOLIO
ANDALUSIA, CIRCA 13TH CENTURY
Qur'an XXXIV, sura al-zumar, middle of v.29 - v.31, Arabic manuscript on paper, with 5ll. of bold sepia maghribi, vocalisation in red, blue, green, yellow and gold, a verse marker formed of three blue-outlined gold roundels with red and white strapwork centres on each side, verso also with a roundel 'ashr marker, margins of folio with some restoration
