On Arabic language, a glossary of synonyms, Arabic manuscript on paper, 73ff. plus 5 fly-leaves, each folio with 19ll. of sepia naskh verging on maghribi, important words and phrases in larger script, first folio split, and each recto with title and later owner's notes, colophon with date, later owner's note below giving a date of a later reading of the text, the two final folios with another owner's inscription, in brown morocco with flap, each board with stamped central medallion filled with strapwork and geometric outer borders, brown morocco doublures with stamped quatrefoil doublures in each corner

This manuscript was copied in 1009-10 AD, during the lifetime of the author al-Tha'alibi who died in 1038 AD. It is therefore an early copy of the work.
