From a manuscript of Yusuf wa Zulaykha, gouache heightened with gold on paper, one folio depicts the young Yusuf telling his father Ya'qub of his dream, both with flaming nimbuses seated on blue and gold carpet and surrounded by Yusuf's envious brothers, the other folio depicting Yusuf being purchased as a slave, the reverse of both illustrations set on light blue ground scattered with floral blooms, elegant nasta'liq couplets above and below and gold decorated margins, with 12ll. of elegant nasta'liq divided into two columns, both miniatures with strong pigments
