Lot Essay

A similar bracelet, although made of silver, is in the Viictoria and Albert Museum and attributed to "probably Bhuj, Kutch, circa 1880" (Barnard Nick, Indian Jewellery, p. 111, Timeless Books, New Delhi 2008)
