The London based firm, Based Upon, established in 2004 by twin brothers Ian and Richard Abell, specializes in large scale artworks and sculptural furniture with unique finishes formed by mixing liquid metals and resins. Unafraid of innovation, their highly individual work is often inspired by natural and urban landscapes they experiment with texture, form and pattern to create unique surfaces. The firms output has proved popular, gaining global attention, earlier this year their stand at London's Master Piece was very well received.
