                                            A late 16th century gold signet ring 
The oval foiled rock crystal bezel painted with twin coat of arms in the form of two shields, one painted in gold and black with the initials IHS, (the monogram for Jesus Christ) the other a heart with twin flower stems, against a red ground with the intitials VMK above and the date 1580 below, within an engraved patterned border and shoulders, finger size K, solder repair to hoop
