A George I gold, black enamel and garnet 'memento mori' ring
The D section band of black enamel engraved with an elongated skeleton, hour glass and pick and shovel set with a cabochon garnet collet (possibly replacing a locket compartment) the inside of the hoop engraved with the inscription Jane Tyson obt. 22 Mar 1724 aet 43, with goldsmith's initials WC, finger size K1/2
