The oval clockcase surmounted by a baluster vase flanked by loop handles with dolphin terminals, finely painted with putti within a 'jeweled' and gilt cartouche, the clockface below a pediment supporting putti holding a shield and suspending drapery swags, the sides painted with putti stringing garlands, on a waisted socle and shaped oval stand raised on toupie feet; the similar five-light candelabra painted with courting couples in the manner of Watteau
