Lot Essay

Harry Ayrton, (a.k.a. Tim) British (1905-1976) was employed full-time at the Royal Worcester Manufactory from 1920 to 1970 and continued to paint on a part-time basis until 1976. He was known for his broad repertoire, including fruit, fish and castle subjects. In addition to painting, Aryton was an avid cyclist and member of the 'Terrible Seven'.
