'The name of the Peloponnese Peninsula comes from Pelops, a young man who lived in Anatolia. According to the legend, Pelops fell in love with Hippodamia, the daughter of the King. In order to marry her, Pelops had to compete with the King in a horse race and indeed he was the first one to defeat him. After this triumph, the horse races were dedicated to Pelops and the Olympic games were organized to honor him. (...) The gymnast in the present work is depicted as if in an inner journey before the contest. She is thinking about the significance of her game as a result of her long years of preparation; 1.5 minutes compared to 15 years of practice. This is "the moment"...'
