ROMANEE-CONTI
Of the seven Grand Cru climats, Ronamee-Conti is best known for producing wines with the most complexity and extravagance. The wines from this vineyard tend to be full, spherical, and extremely voluptuous; there is always a sense of drama as one approaches a Romanée-Conti after having tasted other growths in the cellar - and one is never disappointed. The 1976, a stand-out vintage for the Domain, has been described by Michael Broadbent as " heavenly 'almost theatrical' Pinot fragrance; sweet, mouth-filling yet still hard. Most recently, rich, harmonious nose; sweet, full, very rich and powerful."
