Painted in camaïeu rose with a putto reclining in a landscape and looking into a basket, the cavetto feathered, the border molded with paired foliate scrolls, gilt line rim

Lot Essay

The 'assiette à cordonnet' form is first found in the manufactory's inventory records in October 1752, at which time 242 examples were sold of which 64 were decorated 'à enfants camayeux', matching the description of the present example.
