With two addorsed rampant lions, their hindquarters touching, necks joined by a single head with jaws gaping, teeth bared and tongue protuding, mane and whiskers delineated, their feet resting on incised circular border

Please note that this roundel is not from Ziwiye, but is Achaemenid, and the date should read: circa late 5th-4th Century B.C. (cf. E. Rehm, Der Schmuck der Achämeniden, Münster, 1992, p.181, 414, fig. 148.
