NEW KINGDOM, LATE DYNASTY XVIII, CIRCA 1388-1292 B.C.
One of bright blue faience with the cartouche of the Pharaoh Tutankhamun, Ruler of Southern Heliopolis, New Kingdom, late Dynasty XVIII, circa 1333-1292 B.C.; and another of turquoise faience, openwork with a seated falcon-headed deity wearing sun-disc and holding a Maat feather, New Kingdom, late Dynasty XVIII, circa 1388-1292 B.C.

Lot Essay

The Southern Heliopolis was the city of Armant, on the West Bank opposite of the modern Qena, South of Luxor.
On the second ring, the juxtaposition of the falcon-headed deity and Maat may evoke the cartouche of Amenhotep III.
