EIGHT MARK OF DAVID WHYTE AND WILLIAM HOLMES, LONDON, 1764, FOUR MARK OF FRANCIS BUTTY AND NICHOLAS DUMEE, 1770
Each shaped oval, with gadrooned border, engraved with a crest, each marked on reverse, the four dishes marked Butty & Dumee engraved on reverse with scratch weights, 22=18, 23=6, 22=18, and 22=15, the four smaller dishes marked Whyte & Holmes also with scratch weights, 21=9, 21=13, 23=8, and 21=4, the four larger dishes marked Whyte & Holmes numbered 1, 2, 3, and 4
Two sets of four 13¼ in. (33.7 cm.) long; the other set of four 14 in. (35.6 cm.) long; 276 oz. (8,598 gr.) (12)
