A RARE SMALL CLOISONNÉ ENAMEL AND GILT-DECORATED OVIFORM VASE
QIANLONG CAST FOUR-CHARACTER MARK WITHIN A DOUBLE SQUARE AND OF THE PERIOD (1736-1795)
The vase has high rounded shoulders tapering down towards a spreading foot and is surmounted with a short neck and flaring mouth rim. There is a pair of dragon-head handles with loose rings to each side, and a further dragon-head handle to one side of the lower body. The vase is finely decorated all over with lotus scrolls bearing stylised blooms and leafy tendrils.
