A LARGE WHITE JADE 'LOTUS LEAF' BRUSH WASHER, BIXI
QIANLONG PERIOD (1736-1795)
The shallow washer is carved in the shape of two open-form lotus leaves borne on leafy stalks tied at one end. There are further stalks terminating in lotus flowers, with two frogs and a small bird perched on one side. The stone is of an even pale tone with a slight caramel tone at one corner.
