A JADEITE 'PHOENIX' PENDANT
19TH CENTURY
The rectangular pendant is carved to one side in shallow relief to depict a phoenix with its wings outstretched, standing on a branch bearing peony blooms. The reverse is carved with a pair of chilong. The semi-translucent stone is of a bright apple-green tone with some paler and darker streaks.
