Each cabinet has rounded and protruding rectangular tops which are supported on beaded corner posts. The doors are fitted with rectangular lockplates and pulls.

A pair of cabinets of this shape illustrated by Wang Shixiang and C. Evarts, Masterpieces from the Museum of Classical Chinese Furniture , Chicago and San Francisco, 1995, p. 130, no. 61, was sold in Christie's New York, 19 September 1996, lot 19.
