A SET OF THREE FAMILLE ROSE PORCELAIN PLAQUES
REPUBLIC PERIOD (1912-1949)
Each plaque is delicately painted in the famille rose palette with a figure in an exterior scene depicting a fisherman, a luohan and a bearded figure carrying peaches. There is a long poetic inscription followed by two seal marks to one plaque.
The largest 15 1/8 x 10 1/8 in. (38.5 x 25.7 cm.), wood frames (3)

Lot Essay

The long inscription states that the panel was painted during winter time in the cyclical year of xuchen, corresponding to 1928, by the master of the Hall of Taomi, Wang Qi.
