A CELADON JADE ARCHAISTIC CENSER, GUI
MING DYNASTY, 17TH CENTURY
The vessel has a ribbed compressed globular body carved below the rim with a band of monster-masks and incised dragon scrolls, with short vertical flanges. There are a pair of large and thickly carved flattened stylised dragon handles to each side. The stone is of a celadon tone with opaque buff areas.
