                                            A CARVED CINNABAR LACQUER ARCHAISTIC RITUAL WINE VESSEL, JUE 
QIANLONG PERIOD (1736-1795)
The vessel with a pair of capped posts surmounting the deep 'U'-shaped body, is carved in relief with taotie-masks below a band of ruyi-heads. The three blade-form legs are each carved with pendant scrolls on a keyfret ground. The interior is carved with a lotus scroll with trailing leafy stems on a keyfret ground.
