A FAMILLE ROSE TURQUOISE-GROUND DISH
TONGZHI/EARLY GUANGXU PERIOD (1862-1908)
The shallow dish is decorated to the interior with a huamei bird perched on a wisteria branch, above blossoming rose branches growing to one side. The flowering wisteria extends over the rim to the exterior. There is a three-character iron-red inscription to the interior reading, Dayazhai, beside the Tian Di Yi Jia Chun seal mark. All are on a pale turquoise-ground. The base has an iron-red Yong Qing Chang Chun mark.
8 5/8 in. (22 cm.) diam.
