Lot Essay

The present watch is a highly unusual representative of the Rolex " Empire " model, ref. 3548 featuring a superb unrestored black lacquer "California" dial with an extremely rare hour marker at 6 o'clock in the shape of a large dot. With an extraordinarily crisp and well preserved case and still retaining the original bracelet and tag, this almost "new old stock" watch is a must have for all connoisseurs.
