Furthermore delivered with Extract from the Archives confirming production of the present watch with silver opaline-white dial and white gold indexes in 1993 and its subsequent sale on 25 February 1994.
Consigned by the wife of its first owner, this watch has never been offered in public before. It is furthermore distinguished by its very good overall condition and the presence of the original certificate and accessories.
Reference 3940, in production from 1985 until 2006, was available in different case materials, platinum being the rarest. The model is illustrated in Patek Philippe Wristwatches by Martin Huber & Alan Banbery, second edition, pp. 292-293.
