With Patek Philippe Certificate of Origin dated March 1994, white gold and wooden setting pin, sales tag, instructions manual in German, copy of Gübelin pre-order dated April 1993, copy of Gübelin invoice for complete service in February 2002, original burgundy leather presentation box with winding facility and outer packaging. Furthermore delivered with Extract from the Archives confirming production of the present watch with silver opaline-white dial and white gold indexes in 1993 and its subsequent sale on 25 February 1994.
Consigned by the wife of its first owner, this watch has never been offered in public before. It is furthermore distinguished by its very good overall condition and the presence of the original certificate and accessories.
Reference 3940, in production from 1985 until 2006, was available in different case materials, platinum being the rarest. The model is illustrated in Patek Philippe Wristwatches by Martin Huber & Alan Banbery, second edition, pp. 292-293.
