At over 65 feet in length, this is one of the longest continuous strip panoramas known, conveying a powerful sense of the military and monarchical grandeur of the Duke's funeral. Henry Alken's son executed the horses. Although Abbey gives an 1852 date, the panel of Wellington's hearse is dated 1 March 1853. Abbey Life 597.
