Each woven in silks and wools, depicting 'Falconers Resting' from a series of 'The Pastoral Hunts' with falconers and young huntsmen resting beneath a tree with a dog and falcons in the foreground and two young mounted huntsmen in a wooded landscape respecitvely, each within a spirally twisting border and blue outer slip

This series is mentioned in a document of 1766 that mentions Léonard Roby acquired six paintings paintings after Wouverman and Van Falens. Roby was a prolific and highly skilled weaver who was active in Aubusson between 1750 and 1789. The design of the this pair of tapestries is based on an engraving by Jacques Philippe Lebas after a painting by Karel van Falens (d. 1733).
