A décor polychrome de scènes d'après David Teniers représentant des personnages dans des médaillons circulaires or intercalés de larges arabesques et rinceaux se détachant sur un fond prune, le centre de la sous-tasse à décor or d'une tête de fleur entourée de frises concentriques, dents de loup or sur le bord

Les décors de "tesnières" sont très en vogue à Sèvres de 1758 à 1764. Pour un commentaire sur ce type de décor, voir le catalogue d'exposition Charles-Nicolas Dodin et la manufacture de Vincennes-Sèvres par Marie-Laure de Rochebrune, Paris, 2012, pp. 65-67.
Notre modèle est un rare exemple qui présente un compromis entre les décors d'après Teniers et des motifs beaucoup plus modernes de rinceaux dans le goût antique.
