Lot Essay

La forme en demi-lune et l'élégante marqueterie de ces présentes commodes sont typiques de la production piémontaise des années 1770 et 1780.
Une commode proche présentant un dessin marqueté géométrique est conservée au Palazzo Reale de Turin et est illustrée dans R. Antonetto, Il Mobile Piemontese del Settecento, Turin, 2010, p. 59, cat. 38. D'autres commodes du même type sont illustrées dans E. Quaglino, Il Mobile Piemontese, Milan, 1966, pp. 155 et 161, ainsi qu'un cabinet en encoignure (op. cit., p. 154).
