The small stoneware bowl curving inwards slightly at the rim, the interior decorated over a grey ground with a brush painting of rocks and two flying gulls in cobalt and iron oxide, the exterior is brushed just short of the foot and over the rim with streaked grey, black and brown glazes, signed BL in iron oxide to the base
