Signed Mitsu Nobuie, Momoyama-Edo Period (16th-17th century)
Lightly incised with a kiko pattern and pierced with a waterwheel, the rim slightly raised, fitted wood box with dedication "iron mokko tsuba, waterwheel motif abounding in character beloved of Soshin Sensei"
