Signed Jumyo, Late Edo-Meiji Period (19th century)
The blade of kogarasumaru form, very slight curve moroha-kissaki, the kitae koitame with nagare and jinie, hamon suguha with small variations of konie, komaru boshi with long kaeri along the back edge, habaki single silver, length of blade 18.6cm., the toppei koshirae with saya clad in silver, engraved in katakiri-bori with swallows in wind and rain-blown cherry blossoms, a fuchi-kashira with matching design
